Event Extras & External Suppliers

To help your event run smoothly, we have outlined what is included with your room hire, the professional services we offer in-house, and where you have the flexibility to bring in your own suppliers.

While we provide the venue and a fully licensed bar, we offer several customisable packages to help tailor the space to your specific requirements.

What We Provide

  • The Venue: Exclusive use of the function room for the duration of your booking.

  • Fully Staffed Bar: A professional service stocked with a wide selection of beverages.

  • Furniture: Use of our standard tables and chairs.

  • Coordination: Access to the room prior to the event for setting up (subject to availability and prior agreement).

Internal Services & Packages

For ease of planning, we offer the following in-house options. These can be booked directly through our team to ensure a seamless experience:

  • Catering Packages: We provide a range of in-house catering options, from formal sit-down meals to casual buffets.

  • Decoration Packages: Our team can manage the aesthetics of your event, including table cloths, chair covers, and centrepieces.

  • Specialist Displays: We have a traditional Candy Cart available for hire, which can be fully stocked by our team for a set fee.

What You May Choose to Organise

You are welcome to use our in-house services or outsource to your preferred external suppliers for the following:

  • External Catering & Decor: If you prefer a specific external supplier for food or styling, you are welcome to arrange this independently.

  • Entertainment: Booking your own DJ, live band, or singer.

  • Occasion Cakes: Including any specific stands or knives required for the cake cutting.

  • Bespoke Displays: Such as doughnut walls or photo booths.

Recommended Local Contacts

We work closely with several local businesses and sponsors. We recommend contacting them directly to discuss your requirements:

  • Catering & Afternoon Tea: Our Platinum Sponsor, Fifteas Vintage Tea Room, is a fantastic local choice for high-quality catering and bespoke tea room experiences.

  • DJ & Entertainment: There are several mobile DJs familiar with our venue layout and electrical setup. Please ensure any external entertainers have valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and PAT-tested equipment.

  • Balloons & Event Styling: For balloon arches, table displays, and room dressing, there are several specialists within the Bishop Auckland (DL14) area who can deliver and set up at the clubhouse.

Important Guidelines for Decorations

We want your event to look spectacular, but we ask that you follow these simple rules to help us maintain the clubhouse:

  • Please use Blu-Tack or similar non-marking adhesives on walls.

  • The use of table confetti or 'party poppers' is not permitted as these can be difficult to clear from the flooring.

  • All external equipment (such as candy carts or photo booths) must be collected at the end of the evening unless a next-day collection has been agreed upon in advance.
