We’re so incredibly proud of our very own Darcy Smith, one of our amazing Under 16's rugby girls, who has just completed the incredible Coast-to-Coast cycle route from Whitehaven to Sunderland!
Darcy, who turned just 15 two days before setting off, took on this huge challenge to raise money towards an amazing volunteering expedition to Nepal in 2027. During the trip, she’ll have the opportunity to volunteer in a local school, support children and learn about Nepal’s incredible culture, history and heritage.
Although cycling has always been a big part of Darcy’s life, this was by far her biggest challenge yet. Taking on long days in the saddle, gruelling climbs and the tough physical and mental demands of the Coast-to-Coast route, Darcy showed exactly the determination and resilience we know she has!
Darcy is always a valued part of our Under 16s rugby family, and we would absolutely love for everyone to get behind her as she continues to raise money for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
