If you are planning a trip to Kynren this summer, you probably already know about the brilliant show, but you might not have considered the reality of the exit. The performance finishes late, and thousands of people all try to leave the site at the exact same time.
That leaves you with two real choices: face a long drive home in the dark, or try to find a local hotel that hasn't already been booked up for months.
There is a much easier, stress-free alternative. Bishop Auckland Rugby Club is opening up its flat, spacious grounds for caravans, motorhomes, and tents throughout the Kynren run.
Why this is a practical choice
Avoid the midnight traffic: The rugby club is right next to the venue. Instead of sitting in massive queues trying to get onto the motorway at midnight, you can be back at your pitch within minutes having a brew.

Since you are already pitched up, it makes sense to stay for the weekend. You can spend the next day exploring Auckland Palace or the Spanish Gallery right on the doorstep, or head into Durham City Centre for the afternoon.
Peak Saturday dates always fill up first. If you want to save yourself the late-night drive home, it is well worth securing a spot early.
